Job Title: University students looking for school work
University students are you interested in school work? Are you studying at a university in Bristol or UWE. Are you finding that you are going to need some part time work to keep money coming in whilst you are studying? Perhaps you are taking a course that involves working with children, and doing school work would be relevant. Or your Uni year is wrapping up and you want some work to keep you busy in the summer months of June and July? Whatever the motivation, get in touch if school work is of interest to you. You will need to have an interest in supporting children, especially those considered to be vulnerable. Students that have studies that would benefit from work supporting in school tend to make good placements, i.e childhood studies. You will need to be able to build good bonds, and not only help with their social development but also their learning journey. Professional boundaries are important, so the right people will be able to be firm on expectations from children and ensure they are doing to the best of their ability, learning objectives. Work is available in primary, secondary and SEN schools, so there is plenty of opportunity to help and gain work across Bristol. Hours typically are 8:30 - 3:30, what days you work completely depends on what days you are free. In order to work with children you will need to have a UK DBS on the update service, which we can help you apply for, and should you be a student from overseas, you will need to hold a police check from your country of origin.

If you are interested, then please contact Lee Harris on 0117 4722400 | Ext: 2006 and click on the apply button.

If you are not interested in this role but know someone else who might be, don't forget that we offer £150 in shopping vouchers if you refer a friend to us and we place them in the job. For more details, contact your local Axcis office.

This is a temporary position, unless stated otherwise.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer and as such we do not discriminate based on age, gender, disability, race or any other equal opportunities criteria.

The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

As such, you will be required to provide an up to date DBS, or be prepared to allow Axcis to process one on your behalf, in addition to other mandatory compliance checks in line with the DfE guidelines (for details please see our website).

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short-term and long-term assignments in addition to permanent positions.

You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face to face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role.

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.

View the disclaimer

Contact: Lee Harris

Telephone: 0117 4722400 | Ext: 2006
