Are you a SEN Teaching Assistant? Are you looking for work in Newport? We are urgently looking for a strong SEN Teaching Assistant to work with PMLD pupils in a special school in Newport.
The school offers a well-resourced environment to help children and young people with special needs, aged 3-19 years, to develop their learning skills. The school has a holistic approach towards learning and development and require Teaching Assistants with a similar approach.
If you have experience of working within a special needs environment and have the ability to work with pupils that have complex needs to include SLD, PMLD and Autism, we would love to hear from you.
As an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, you will have experience of working closely with pupils and other members of staff that may include occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists and school nurses.
The ideal candidate will have a patient, positive and pro-active approach, as well as being hands on. Due to the nature of the work, consistency is paramount to the well being of the pupils. Therefore, we require SEN Teaching Assistants who are committed and flexible.
A current DBS is essential and a Manual Handling certificate is desirable but not essential.
