SEND Teaching Assistant with SEMH experience in Bristol - South Gloucestershire - Role: SEN TA Jobs
A Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in South Gloucestershire are looking for an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a challenging KS3 child on a long term basis.
You will be working alongside a highly trained staff team but you will be expected to work 1:1 with the child in question. The child in question is a KS3 pupil, so experience of working with secondary age children is also a huge advantage.
Whilst the ideal candidate will ideally be team teach trained it's not essential as we do offer training. Ideally you will have PRU experience and a good knowledge of children with SEMH issues.
This is a potentially long term position for the right candidate.
Successful Candidates will ideally hold the following attributes:
" Flexible- In order to work around the schools requests and needs
" Professional- Always holds a professional manner.
" Knowledgeable- Has knowledge and understanding SEMH and how to deal with different situations.
" Confident- Able to take their own initiative in a new setting and when working with new students.
