SEND Teaching Assistant with SEMH experience in Bristol - Bristol - Role: SEN TA Jobs

A Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Bristol are looking for an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a challenging KS3 child on a long term basis.
You will be working alongside a highly trained staff team but you will be expected to work 1:1 with the child in question. The child in question is a KS3 pupil, so experience of working with secondary age children is also a huge advantage.
The ideal candidate will ideally be team teach trained and used to working with students with very challenging behaviour. Whilst team teach is not essential it would be a big advantage however we offer access to regular training sessions on this . Ideally the candidate will have PRU experience and a good knowledge of children with SEMH issues.
This is a potential long term position and could eventually become permanent for the right candidate.

" Professional- Always holds a professional manner.
" Knowledgeable- Has knowledge and understanding SEMH and how to deal with different situations.
" Confident- Able to take their own initiative in a new setting and when working with new students.
