SEND teacher needed for a specialist centre in South Bristol | Bristol | SEN Teacher Jobs
JOB TITLE / ROLE:
SEND teacher needed for a specialist centre in South Bristol - Bristol - Role: SEN Teacher Jobs
Axcis are currently working with a large secondary school in the South Bristol area who have three SEND bases, two which cater for students with ASD and a separate specialist centre which caters for students with a range of needs, including physical needs.
They are currently seeking a temporary SEND teacher for their specialist centre to cover a long term sickness. This position will likely last until term six 2018.
This is a full time role, where you will be responsible for teaching the curriculum to the same group of students; both secondary and primary trained teachers are welcome to apply, as structured planning and support is already in place to support those teachers who have little experienced of teaching a particular subject.
The specialist centre itself has a hydro-therapy pool and a wide range of skilled staff. Plus, all of the Axcis staff who have worked there before, have commented on how lovely it is there. If you would like to develop your skills and knowledge of SEND and work with a lovely team, this setting is for you.
The ideal candidate will:
- Experience of teaching students with a range of SEND needs, including those with autism
- Have a creative approach to teaching and learning and a willingness to teach subjects outside of their comfort zone, you may be asked to teach a KS3 or a KS4 level class, so flexibility is key
- Be available for an immediate start and be able to commit until February half term 2018 at the least
- Be a team player and willing to get involved in all aspects of school life
