We are currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a provisional unit in Sefton. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting a Year 6 student who requires additional support to help engage with their learning. The student has ASD and Global Delay, the desired candidate ill require experience supporting with SEND Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one support. Assist the student in accessing the curriculum and engaging with learning activities. Implement strategies to manage behaviours in a supportive and constructive manner. Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to ensure the student's needs are met effectively. Maintain accurate records of interventions, progress, and incidents as required. Requirements: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable. Team Teach training or equivalent de-escalation training is highly advantageous. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues. A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the individual needs of the student.
