A lovely SEND school based near Croydon is looking for a Primary Nuture Group Teacher to cover small nurture classes on a long term basis from September 2015.
This special school caters for students with Social, Emotional and Behavioural difficulties (SEBD), particularly challenging behaviour, and/or additional complex needs. The large majority of students have additional complex needs. For example, many are on the Autistic Spectrum (ASD) and many need Nurture and/or have Attachment Difficulties/Disorders, Learning Difficulties, Speech & Language difficulties, Aspergers, ADD, ADHD, OCD, ODD, Dyscalculia, Dyslexia or Dyspraxia.
This special school has a proven record of helping students make exceptional progress with learning, social skills and employability.
The school are looking for an professional and qualified SEND Teacher (with QTS), with considerable experience working with primary aged pupils. The successful teacher will be required to teach across all age groups (5-11years) within nurture groups of up to 4 pupils. All pupils are statemented with SEBD, ASD or ADHD. The ideal teacher will be confident working with pupils with challenging behaviour and work well within a small, supportive team.
To apply you must be a qualified teacher with QTS, have proven experience of working successfully with primary aged pupils with SEND and be available full time, immediately.
