Primary/general studies teacher needed for an alternative provision in the South Bristol - Bristol - Role: SEN Teacher Jobs
Axcis are currently seeking a qualified primary/general studies teacher to teach in an alternative provision in the South Bristol area. The provision is part of multi-academy trust with several settings which cater for students with SEMH needs. This particular provision caters for KS2 and KS3 students.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be available full time (part time timetables could be negotiated for the right candidate)
- Be a qualified teacher, in either primary or secondary, with a strong knowledge and understanding of the KS2 national curriculum.
- Be creative, empathetic and have a good working knowledge of a range of SEND needs. Many of the students at the setting have additional needs which underpin their SEMH needs. In particular, you should have a developed understanding of and experience of working with students who have ASD, dyslexia and attachment disorder.
- An in-date DBS check or one on the online update service.
This is a temporary (long term) position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The successful candidate will be available for an immediate start.
