PPA Cover Teacher | London - West | SEN Teacher Jobs
Our diverse special school based in Harrow are currently looking for a PPA cover Teacher ideally with a subject specialism to join their outstanding school on a long term basis from November 2017.
This school caters for students with complex needs, severe learning difficulties, Autism and various medical needs from KS3 - KS5.
As a PPA cover teacher, you will be teaching across the board from KS3 - KS5 with a key encouragement on independent living and studies, classes will be to a maximum of 6 students with various needs, working alongside 2 teaching assistants, with the PPA cover leading the class and support staff.
Ideally you will have experience with sign-a-long and able to teach P levels 1- 4.
As with the majority of PPA positions, the work may be set for you but the school do not expect you to rely on this, so do be prepared to be immersed in your delivering of the curriculum and where required hands on with the workload.
The school will require you to undertake some fantastic activities within your teaching environment with the students including hydrotherapy in the pool, days out in the community, use of its soft play and sensory rooms.
Teachers that are well equipped with creativity and enthusiasm, and that are prepared to enrich the curriculum are encouraged to apply for this role.

Ideal PPA Teacher;
- You must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- You will ideally have worked with non-verbal students
- Have experience with sign-a-long and interactive boards
- Able to teach across the board at KS3-4 with P Levels 1-4
- Ideally have a secondary subject specialism
