PMLD Teaching Assistant - Oldbury - West Midlands - Role: SEN TA Jobs
Axcis Education are urgently seeking a teaching assistant to work alongside a class teacher to support a group of 6 pupils with Profound & Multiple learning difficulties. Pupils are functioning under P level 4, use roots for learning software and all have medical needs with associated learning difficulties.
On a day to day basis you will be working with pupils in a classroom setting as well as supporting in accessing other areas such as the sensory and VI rooms, swimming pool and meal areas. Students are generally hoisted throughout the whole school so manual handling would be advantageous. As well as this many pupils are PEG / tube fed which again would be advantageous if candidates applying had this relevant training.
Our client is a teaching school which have fantastic support and training networks in place, so any candidate looking to apply will be apart of a well formed team. As well as this our client has good access to local transport links as well as a large car park for candidates who drive.
The role :
*Flexible full & part time roles
*Working hours are 8:20am till 3:30pm
*Short & long term roles available

* References to cover the last 2 years
* A current DBS
