Numeracy and Literacy Intervention teacher required January 2018! - London - NW - Role: Primary Teacher Jobs
Axcis Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a vibrant secondary school in Brent, who are seeking a numeracy and literacy Intervention teacher for January 2018!
The role is essentially working with small-groups of Y7 and Y8 students who have not made the progress they needed to at KS2. The job is to ensure these students make accelerated progress in both literacy and numeracy so that they can go back to mainstream classes next academic year.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher, ideally primary trained.
The overall goal will be to have a dramatic and positive impact on pupil progress so that they can not only close the gap in English and Maths, but can also successfully access the rest of the curriculum.
The teacher will be accountable for their classes as they will have them throughout the year.
The role is full-time starting in January 2018 and fixed term till July 2018.
The school are looking for someone who is confident with teaching numeracy as well as literacy.
The school is fully-resourced and has a supportive department.
