Mid-day supervisor - Complex needs, Autism
Our diverse special school based in Harrow are currently looking for 3 mid-day supervisors to join their outstanding school on a long term basis immediately.
This school caters for students with complex needs, severe learning difficulties, Autism and various medical needs from KS3 - KS5.
This is a long term position with working hours being 11am - 2pm
As a mid-day supervisor you will have to undertake personal care and feeding, ideally you will be trained in peg feeding, manual handling and be able to administer of buccal midazolam (epilepsy medication), further training can also be given in these areas through Axcis Education.
You will portray a fantastic attitude towards the students, as well as being able to support yourself using your own initiative.
You will be required to be fully immersed within the role and encourage all students to be independent.
These roles can also potentially lead to teaching assistant positions within the school, where the school will require you to undertake some fantastic activities with the students including hydrotherapy in the pool, days out in the community, use of its soft play and sensory rooms.
