Job Title: Mainstream SEND Support Assistant Primary
Axcis Education are working with a Mainstream School within the Leicester area that supports children with a range of different special education needs and disabilities within the same classroom. As a SEND Teaching assistant you will be teaching pupils with needs that are a barrier to learning in a mainstream school or alternative provision, typically associated with SEMH, Autism and Asperger's. The role we have is initially temporary, with a view to go permanent for the right candidate. Working hours are 8:00-16:00, Monday to Friday, term time only with pay rates from £83.40 per day dependent on experience. You will be required to contribute to the planning and school life. What you will need: - Excellent SEN knowledge not mandatory - SEN Teaching assistant experience which we are able to reference - A DBS on the update service (or be willing to pay £44.36 for a new one) - Confident & strong classroom management skills - Work collectively alongside teachers assisting them with classroom activities, ensuring a positive and supportive environment.
