JOB TITLE / ROLE:
Graduates needed for Learning Mentor/Coordinator role in West London - London - West - Role: SEN Teacher Jobs
I am currently working with a local authority who are looking to bring on a recent graduate to work as a learning mentor. This is a really exciting position for someone who already has some experience working in schools and is now looking to progress their career into a dynamic and fulfilling role!
The role of the learning mentor will be to manage a caseload of students who are having difficulty accessing education across different schools within the borough and help them to engage with their learning. Many of these students won't be in full time education and a large part of this role will be arranging and co-ordinating placements for the students in schools and managing their progress, meeting with them and the teaching staff to monitor the students engagement. Therefore the successful candidate will need to be proactive and able to build relationships over time, both with the student and their family as well as with the school and their staff.
This is a really exciting position as it offers the chance for the successful candidate to make a real difference to the lives of young people and see a tangible effect of the work they are doing. It also offers opportunities for professional development as you will be given chances to go on courses, as well as working with experienced and inspirational colleagues.
My client are looking to interview candidates as soon as possible with a view to an immediate start so if you are interested please apply immediately and contact Tom Dibble at Axcis Education on 020 7580 2956.
Axcis is an equal opportunities employer. The company is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
All staff will be subject to our stringent vetting procedures, which include an enhanced DBS, full work history, references and a face-to-face interview.
