We are seeking to appoint dynamic people to join the staff of this very successful and respected special school in North Surrey. This role would suit anyone who has experience with children or adults who have physical disabilities and/or learning difficulties. The children in this school have complex needs and we are looking for staff who are available to work full or part time and have a passion for working with children with special needs, in particular those on the autistic spectrum. Your role will be to work under the supervision of the class teacher and support the students with their learning and to promote independence, you may also be expected to help with personal care.
The successful applicant will be able to work within a child centered classroom, be a team player, place high emphasis on learning and teaching and have a flexible yet friendly attitude towards their work. You will assist groups of children in learning activities, encourage language and speech development and use communication systems where appropriate. CRB and reference checks are carried out on all applicants prior to appointment.
