Axcis are currently recruiting teaching assistants to work with pupils with (ASD) Autistic Spectrum Disorders in the Bristol area. Ideally you will hold an NVQ L2 or above (or equivalent), be familiar with PECS, Makaton and/or TEACCH programmes and be confident using autistic friendly approaches. We are looking for teaching assistants who are able to effectively support children with Autism in mainsteam classrooms with routines, instuctions, anxiety, appropriate behaviour, interests and strategies to overcome learning barriers.
