We are currently looking to appoint a part time Reflexologist to work one day a week. The centre is for vocational education of learners with a visual impairment and/or other disabilities. Learners at the centre are aged from 16 to 60 and most have some degree of visual impairment; many have additional disabilities or learning difficulties.
The successful candidate will work on a 1 to 1 basis with each learner and work may include massage for the head, hands or feet. Not all learners will want to receive a massage and so sessions will be adapted to include basic touch work.
Candidates are required to hold a relevant therapeutic qualification e.g IHHT, ITEC, ISPA or equivalent, candidates should also have their own indemnity insurance.
The successful post holder will have a commitment and energy that will enable others to become the best they can be, as well as having a flexible and sensitive approach to their work. Good interpersonal skills with both students and staff, high levels of organisation, reliability and an ability to work to a consistently high professional standard will also be required.
