Details

This British School in Uzbekistan currently provides the English National Curriculum to children from Pre-nursery to Year 3 (2 - 7 years).

Nearing 1500 students and over 300 employees, their network of British schools is one of the largest in Asia and has established a reputation for high academic, managerial and employment standards.

*Due to expansion in the school they are currently looking for an exceptional Reception/FS Teacher who is looking to take on managerial responsibilities, to start in January 2012.

They are preferably looking for a single hire but would consider a teacher whose partner might wish to work as a teaching assistant. They provide full scholarships for any dependent children within their school age range.

The package is as follows:

- Accommodation provided
- Annual travel allowance of $2000
- Medical insurance with direct billing provided
- A net salary in USD that can be paid in whatever proportions requested either locally or into an overseas account
- Management allowance of $3000 for FS Leader responsibility

* The package for this role will rise by at least $3,000 for the following year, 2012-13.

Initially they will be looking to recruit for two terms with full summer pay until August 15th. A suitable candidate will become a permanent member of staff (a discussion that could potentially take place after the first term).

The cost of living is very low in Tashkent and a teacher could live well on $500 per month, transferring the remaining balance overseas. The climate is lovely and only too hot in July/Aug, when the majority of teachers are away. The school has strong links to the British Embassy and other international organisations in Tashkent, and as such can provide great support to a new teacher when making social links and getting themselves established.

*More info provided on application.
