We are currently looking for a Qualified PMLD Teacher in the Midlands area. There duties and Responsibilities would be:
To use a range of communication methods to assist people to make informed decisions and choices about issues that affect them
To work with people and their families and professional people
To build a client base of people, fitting the PMLD criteria, who wish to join in the group activities
To provide a listening post and gather information about issues facing people with PMLD and their careers
To recruit, train and support volunteers,
To participate in team meetings, supervisions, appraisals and training as required by their manager
To work flexibly and creatively to meet the needs of the service users, taking responsibility for their safety
To support anti-discrimination policies and procedures and promote equality of opportunity at all times
Take part in training
To report any issues through line management channels
