To co-ordinate and monitor the delivery of special educational needs (SEN) support throughout the school.
The job description lists duties and responsibilities under four headings:
1.Teaching and learning 2.Recording and assessment 3.Leadership 4.Standards and quality assurance Setting targets for raising achievement among pupils with SEN Specific duties include:
Liaising with other schools to ensure continuity of support and learning when transferring pupils with SEN Setting targets for raising achievement among pupils with SEN Providing training opportunities for learning support staff and teachers to learn about SEN Supporting the aims and ethos of the school by adhering to the school vision.
