SEN Teacher Autism Spectrum Disorder Autism or Asperger's Syndrome . We have an SEN teaching job for a qualified teacher with experience of working with Autism Spectrum Disorder Autism or Asperger's Syndrome pupils.
Axcis Education are looking to recruit an experienced SEN Teacher from September. This role is based in a primary school in central London working with students with Autism. This is a one year maternity cover and ideally the school would like to start someone in July for a transition period.
We seek a candidate who can: Demonstrate excellent specialist knowledge about Autistic Spectrum disorder, and use this in teaching to ensure individual pupils make good progress. Lead the Annual Review process of all Statements of Educational Needs for pupils on roll in the ASD classroom. Essential experience: o Qualified Teacher Status for pupils aged 5-11 years, and an excellent record of five years' (minimum) teaching. o Experience of successful teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs in a primary school, including pupils on the autistic spectrum. o Experience of liaison with support agencies, for example, Educational Psychology, Education Welfare. o Knowledge of TEACCH programme. o Knowledge of PECS system. o Experience of leading a team of adults.
