A Doncaster Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) has a number of opportunities available for Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). As a qualified Teaching Assistant, you will have some experience of working with young people with special educational needs (SEN), or be able to demonstrate an approachable, patient and calm attitude whilst working in a challenging environment. Each Teaching Assistant will be required to work on a one-to-one basis with pupils with EBD, within classes no larger than 7 pupils. Outside of the classroom, teaching assistants will be required to take an active role in supporting teachers to develop creative and flexible lesson plans.
