1:1 SEN Support Assistants Needed | Merseyside | SEN TA Jobs
JOB TITLE / ROLE:
1:1 SEN Support Assistants Needed - Merseyside - Role: SEN TA Jobs
A specialist school in South Liverpool is looking for 2 support assistants to work on a 1:1 basis with Syrian refugee siblings with multiple special needs.
The children are aged 4 and 5 and require 1:1 support each. Despite their ages, they are working at a much lower level than their peers, with minimal communication skills and in need of personal care.
Both children have health difficulties; both suffer with glaucoma and one is blind in one eye. Although visual impairment experience is not necessary, it would be very beneficial. The children need someone who is experienced in dealing with SEMH and though school is working on their independence, they need a lot of support.
An ability to speak Arabic, to any level, is also beneficial for this role. Although Arabic is not the children's first language, their father is unable to speak English, so being able to converse with him at some level would help that relationship. This is not essential though.
This role is full-time and to start ASAP. Please get in touch for more information on the children and the school!
