Senior Education & Recreation Officer
£38,460 - £41,307
This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly developing service and make a major contribution at a senior level to ensure the delivery of a high quality education and recreation service.

You will be responsible for providing direction and leadership to all establishments in your area in relation to quality development and continuous improvement. Also required to represent the service at Area Committee and Area Management Team level and contribute to the development of service policy.

You must possess a professional education qualification, be GTC registered, have knowledge of curriculum and statutory requirements, experience of quality approaches and systems in education, experience of working in a political environment, and management experience in the education service at a senior level. Leadership skills, experience of working as an integrated team member, highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills, and ability to provide practical and creative solutions to the management of strategic and operational issues also required.
