About Axcis Education Recruitment
The London office was opened in July 2002 and has grown based on our quality of service to clients and candidates and our commitment to education. Axcis only works in the education recruitment sector and all our resources and experience is dedicated to this.
We have a SEN and International Division and are proud of our achievements and hugely grateful to the schools, teachers and other professionals who have given us their loyalty and support. Our main focus is placing teachers and other professionals into SEN posts, in schools, special units and other locations. We have a dedicated team of consultants, resourcers and administrators that includes many former teachers, and each school and candidate has their own consultant as a main point of contact.
Our Special Needs expertise is exceptional and we recruit and help train candidates with experience and an interest in all kinds of Special Needs. We have Team Teach trained Consultants and aim to train as many of our candidates as possible. We are also working on developing our links and training for PECS, TEACCH and all kinds of signing.
Axcis finds and recruits the very best teachers and education professionals from the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland and other countries to work in London and other Home County schools in the NW, NE and SW of England as well as parts of the Midlands with our new offices based in Liverpool, Sheffield, Rugby and Bristol, and we hope to cover the rest of the UK soon. We strive to find our client schools the very best available candidates who share our level of commitment to the education of our young people and realise just how important it is to the future of this country. We provide induction training to all our staff and especially OTTs (Overseas Trained Teachers) and NQTs (Newly Qualified Teachers), as well as offering regular CPD Training (Continued Professional Development) for all candidates.
At Axcis we are happy to pay our candidates among the highest rates in the sector, while keeping costs to schools at a fair level with no inflated margins.We value our teachers and support staff and their skill, loyalty, professionalism and sheer hard work in a tough job. We also pay generous referral bonuses for any friends/colleagues referred to us and we are delighted to say that a large percentage of our candidates and clients come to us from referrals.
Axcis places candidates as: Primary Teachers, Secondary Teachers, Special Needs Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Nursery Nurses, Cover Supervisors, Support Staff and also into School Management posts and International Teaching jobs.
New jobs are posted daily on the website and we have a presence on most of the social networking sites keeping everyone up to date with our news. We are always striving to improve and develop our service and are eager to hear suggestions and ideas about ways in which we can become better.
In 2005 Axcis opened an office in Cape Town, South Africa to recruit teachers for International Jobs (those outside the UK). For more information please see our international teachers section.
In 2010 Axcis opened an office in Adelaide, Australia to help overseas teachers planning on working in the UK. Axcis also opened an office in Liverpool and Sheffield.
The local office continued in 2011 with offices being opened in Rugby to serve the Midlands and another in Bristol.
