Writing and implementing the IEPs so that each pupil has the chance to develop his or her potential to the full.  Following School policy on planning, evaluation and assessment (PEAS).   Keep careful and detailed records of pupils' attainments and reporting these accurately to parents, colleagues and receiving schools by using the school's system.  Set appropriate and demanding expectations for pupils' leaning and motivation.  Set clear targets for pupils' learning , building on prior attainment.  Use teaching methods which keep pupils engaged, including stimulating pupils' intellectual curiosity, effective questioning and response, clear presentation and good use of resources - remember differentiation in the classroom  Set appropriate expectations for pupils' behaviour, establishing and maintaining a good standard of discipline through well focused teaching and through positive and productive relationships.  To be responsible for producing IEPs, IEP reviews and reports on individual pupils and groups of pupils for school records and for parents.  To liaise closely with the Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Speech and Language Therapists and Behaviour Therapist so that both therapist and special provision can adopt an informed and holistic approach teacher where cognisance is taken of all the education needs of the pupils.  To liaise with other teachers so that the teacher is aware of pupil's performance in class and can monitor the effectiveness of his/her teaching programme.   To ensure that pupils are encouraged during the unstructured periods of the school day such as break and lunch times to develop self-discipline and to foster responsibilities and considerate behaviour.  To perform those rota duties required by all members of staff.   To supervise pupils in classrooms, school buildings and field excursions and to complete a full risk-assessment prior to departure  There will also be a requirement to attend INSET days at the beginning and end of each term and to stay beyond the normal school hours to attend meetings as scheduled on the meeting cycle (as appropriate).   To foster and develop areas of interest that can be shared with staff on INSET days. This will entail attending conferences, courses and in-service training days that may fall outside school hours or in the holidays.   To develop a close liaison with parents, particularly in relation to homework, organisation and management strategies.   To know how to prepare and present informative reports to parents (both written &amp; verbal).  To work closely with the Teaching Assistants in the class and to give clear guidelines and instructions at all times  To always maintain a well ordered and presentable classroom at all times  Display work attractively round the school in a manner that demonstrates the high value we place on our pupils' efforts  To report any concerns about a child, parent or other staff member immediately to the head or deputy  It is forbidden to engage in any political or sectarian issues whilst under employment of the school You must respect the local culture and customs of Bahrain  To follow all school policies and procedures  To provide good role-modelling to the children, fellow staff members, parents and all visitors to the school  To follow appropriate Schemes of Work and to advise the curriculum coordinator of any developments you may discover  To complete appropriate lesson plans and to evaluate them accordingly.  The plans must be submitted weekly to the deputy head  To participate and lead after school activities if you are asked to  To lead a class for the ASDAN programme, with appropriate planning and communication to the class team  To keep up to date with developments in regards to SEN &amp; the curriculum  To follow the International Primary School Curriculum and implement appropriate planning.
